What I Do:
I strive to get "the message" out in the church and in the community. The message may be in the form of promoting the church, events or programs, a new sermon series or classes, recruiting volunteers, or explaining an important point, but the message is always about people helping people find and follow Christ.
My job has many parts: graphic-designer, planner, leader, marketer, public relations contact, writer, photographer... I love the craziness of my job and the fact that there is something new on my desk every day.
What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
The fact that we have a heart for the hurting and the helpless. We don’t just hand people a Bible and tell them it will fix everything. We freely share the message of the gospel but also show them the love of Christ in real, tangible ways.
How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
I surfed the internet looking for a church to visit and saw that Christ Fellowship had 11:30 am services. We're not early morning people and we thought, “Now that might be a church for us!” :-) I really didn’t know what to expect, but my family was won over by the teaching, and warmth and sincerity of the people at Christ Fellowship. It quickly became clear that we were to join the great work being done here, and it had nothing to do with sleeping late!
Before Christ Fellowship:
My husband, Charles, and I owned and operated a wireless internet company and a small community newspaper. Before that I was an editor for Scripps newspapers.
How I Met Jesus:
I prayed myself into his arms one night as a teenager, when it hit me that I needed his forgiveness and grace. What marvelous grace.
Favorite Bible Verse:
There’s peace and calm in the 23rd Psalm.
Hobbies:
Spending time with my husband and four kids, singing and gardening.
Random Fun Fact:
I want to visit as many beaches as possible during my lifetime. That fact would be fun for me ;-)
