What I Do:
Pam and I have been married since 1970! We have four adult daughters who have completed college, are married. We are excited to have ten grandchildren!
Pam and I have had a goal of me being able to step aside at 55 years old from my high travel, heavy responsibility position, Corporate Vice President of Government Affairs for Lennox International (employed with them for 29 years), so that together we might invest our "last half" with even greater focus for the Lord and His church. It is truly an honor to have done this! We have intentionally down-sized our life so that we can be more available for his use by having more time to invest in his kingdom!
Five years ago, before I left Lennox, we started a coffee house in central Asia. After forming a for-profit corporation in Texas we have opened two outlets, one serving our congregation. This has been a very rewarding experience, allowing us to form great relationships that have changed lives both there and closer to home.
I also have been enjoying meeting with a few men in an intentional way, mentoring, and forming deep relationships for our Lord's use in his purpose and plan.
What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
Christ Fellowship embraces the desire to reach out to all people - regardless of race, or income bracket - with the caring message of hope and purpose. We're not on this earth to just live each day and accumulate stuff! We're here to live out another life that brings fulfillment and joy. Having enjoyed this purpose in living for the last 42 years, it is now a reward to be able to live this way in community!
How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
Pam and I first attended Christ Fellowship at the first public meeting that was ever held. We have never sought out the "flavor of the month" but rather have seen the value of planting ourselves deeply - becoming a part of the community by involving ourselves in its growth and development, come rain or shine! It's wonderful to be part of a group of believers that are in the process of living out what they believe, not just "attend" some service occasionally.
Before Christ Fellowship:
Our pathway together began when Pam and I were married in Oregon. We soon moved to the East coast and lived in Providence, RI and Boston MA for three years, moved back to the West coast and settled in Southern California for several years and then moved to Texas in 1991. We are most thankful that along this path we have met great Christ followers and enjoyed growing in Him each step of the way.
How I Met Jesus:
The Lord became a personal friend when I was in High School, shortly after my parents divorced. My last two years of High School were very different than my Junior High and beginning High School years. The fulfillment that came to my life gave me the hearts desire to live full out for Him where ever I went and in all that I participated in. I rather hard headed so that path was not smooth! But, his faithfulness has brought me through each trial and challenge, allowing me to see growth and maturity rather than be bitter and discouraged. This is the only way to live!
