What I Do:
Worship is an integral part of the mission of Christ Fellowship - people helping people find and follow Christ. I have the privilege of organizing the worship experience for the youngest attenders at our church! From preschoolers to fifth graders, it is my responsibility to ensure that our children are engaging in active, meaningful worship experiences each Sunday.
What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
Christ fellowship is truly that: a body of believers that is all about Christ, and a body of believers that is a genuine "fellow"-ship. Since joining Christ Fellowship, I have found my faith deepened, my walk strengthened, my assumptions challenged and my personal life enriched through the people and programs I've been able to be involved with. I have been blessed with the opportunity to use my gifts and abilities in new and creative ways to touch lives for Christ.
How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
In the summer of 2007, I sensed God calling me to follow. Much like Abram in the Old Testament, I believed God was asking me to leave my Ur - a place of comfort and familiarity - to follow Him to a new place. Through a series of God-ordained events in which God confirmed His call, my family left the church we had called home for 11 years to seek a new direction. We spent the next several months visiting various churches in the area, enjoying the opportunity to experience diverse worship experiences in a variety of settings. However, none of them felt like "home" to us. After seeing the website for what was then McKinney Fellowship Bible Church, we decided to give it a try. Not expecting much, we arrived for our first visit in late January, 2008. Instantly we felt like we were "home." The worship experience, children's programming, and the warmth and genuine friendship extended to us during those first few visits assured us we were in the right place. We had journeyed with God - like Abram - out of our Ur and had reached the Promised Land!
Before Christ Fellowship:
I was an elementary teacher for 10 years before having children. Since the birth of our first child in 2000, I have been a stay-at-home mom and private piano teacher. I was director of children's ministries at our previous church in Plano, and directed children's choirs, the adult handbell choir, and children's summer music camps.
How I Met Jesus:
Though I grew up in a Christian home, it wasn't my parents who led me to Christ. For that, I can thank a neighbor friend who hosted a 5-Day Bible Club in her home one summer when I was 5 years old. One afternoon, she gave a clear presentation of the gospel. I recognized my need for a savior and prayed to receive His gift of salvation that day.

Hobbies:
Scrapbooking, reading, music, outdoor activities (camping, running, biking, swimming), and anything my kids are involved in!
