What I Do:
Wife to John (busy fireman and business owner), Mommy to three busy boys: Zachary (9), Joshua (7), and Jarrett (5). Bookkeeper for Firehouse Pools, Co-Director of Sparks in AWANA Program, Treasurer for Eddins Elem. PTA, After-care giver for Wesley Christian Pre-School, Asst. to Children's Pastor David Klippert-Rowe.
What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
The Kids! I love their honesty and purity and to watch their faith grow and grow. Too cool!! Over the past 10 years, I have served in almost every age group or grade level in Promiseland. Before I had children, I served with the high schoolers in 2000.
How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
I accepted a sales position in Plano so my husband and I moved from El Paso, TX to the area in 1999. We fell in love with people in McKinney and bought a home. Christ Fellowship was our first and has been our only church home here in McKinney.
Before Christ Fellowship:
We lived in El Paso where our families were and we spent our time traveling and boating and planning our family! I shared an African Import business with my mother-in-law and my husband was a custom boot maker.
How I Met Jesus:
I met Jesus as a child. I was christened Catholic at one month old, baptized Baptist at five and attended a non-denominational church when I was old enough to drive. The Lord has sustained me at the best and worst times in my life, even when I thought I was actually doing the steering!
Favorite Bible Verse:
Proverbs 3:5-6 and 1 Corinthians 13:1-13.
Hobbies:
Photography, staying fit and watching my boys participate in sports.
Random Fun Fact:
My husband asked me to 'go with him' when I was seven and he was nine. Of course I didn't then, but he was my first and only true love and the forever keeper of my heart!
