What I Do:
I am the primary pastoral counselor for our church and oversee our recovery seminars (DivorceCare, DivorceCare for Kids, GriefShare and Job Seekers Support Group). I am the Area Pastor to eight Life Groups primarily in the Allen area and help lead a Life Group. I lead a Friday morning men’s study and keep track of three other men’s groups. Garland Beasley and I perform most of the marriages and funerals in our church.

What I Love About Christ Fellowship:
It is a place to get well. Many people who have endured difficult life circumstances (divorce, death of a loved one, sinful habit patterns, job loss, unpleasant previous church experience, etc.) can come here to receive grace, find acceptance and rebuild their lives.

How I Ended Up at Christ Fellowship:
I was an intern at our sponsoring church -- Fellowship Bible Church North. Bruce oversaw the intern program. During 1995-96, he began telling us about his vision of starting a church in McKinney. When the church started in March 1997, several of the interns came with him. That’s how I got here.

Before Christ Fellowship:
After I graduated from college, I was on the campus staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. I was assigned to the University of North Texas at Denton. Following that, I attended Dallas Theological Seminary and was on the leadership team at Denton Bible Church. After seminary, I was the pastor at White Oak Community Church in Cambridge, IA.

How I Met Jesus
I became a Christian during my junior year in college. Prior to that, I was trying to find success through various means: athletics, academic excellence and personal relationships. Through a broken romance, I realized that real stability and contentment could only be found through a personal relationship with Christ. I am a success when Christ is in control of my life.

Favorite Bible Verse:
Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ who you serve."

Hobbies:
Fishing, disc golf, watching college sports (especially Oklahoma State)
