Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 pm at Christ Fellowship, we are offering a combination of seven Bible study groups that are interspersed with five different Seminars which will run through May. Get all the details and sign up
We’ve provided a brief summary below of what it means to grow in Christ, to be a true disciple.
But first, it is vitally important that in order to grow, you must believe the gospel – the good news of Jesus Christ. Learn more about trusting Christ and believing his gospel, and then being baptized.
Our mission at Christ Fellowship is “People Helping People Find and Follow Christ.” Following Christ involves growing in his knowledge and grace. As we become closer to him, we become more like him. The goal of following Christ can be expressed like this:
“To live a Spirit-empowered life for God, becoming like Christ and joining him in his mission.”
But as we all have heard by now, “It’s not about me!” There must be a higher purpose in my living a life where we follow Christ and grow spiritually. What is that ultimate purpose?
We reflect the goodness of God to all people and bring glory to his name
What does such a life look like? At Christ Fellowship, we commonly describe the life of the Christ follower as one marked by:
Loving God, loving one another, and loving our neighbor
What are the kinds of activities that lead to spiritual growth? Or, expressed differently, what do disciples do that leads to transformation of ourselves and those around us?
We Seek him
We Learn from him
We Influence for him
We Invest with him (in the church, and in our neighborhood, community and world)
In what settings do we grow together at Christ Fellowship?
Individually
Close community
Broader community of believers
Pray – Seek God. Listen for his voice as he reveals his will (Col. 1:9).
